About the Awards

Supported by DfT and Passenger Focus, the 2012 National Transport Awards will be held at the Riverbank Park Plaza on 11th October 2012. 

In what has been a subdued national economic climate, the 12th National Transport Awards relishes the opportunity to help lift the gloom by shining a spotlight on the successes that have been achieved on so many local transport projects.  As always, these projects have shown the judges the tangible results they've achieved, improving the experience for their transport users.

This year the charity will be Barnardo's.  A UK charity which transforms the lives of vulnerable children across the UK through projects, campaigning and research expertise.  Barnardo's believes in children regardless of their circumstances, gender, race, disability or behaviour.

The 2011 charity was KIDS, a leading UK charity which offers direct and practical help to disabled children, young people and their families.  A total of £958.90 was raised for KIDS at the 2011 National Transport Awards, we are extremely grateful to all who donated at the ceremony.
