About the Awards

Now in its tenth year, the prestigious Scottish Transport Awards 2012 brings together the transport community to recognise and celebrate industry achievements across Scotland.

Supported by the Scottish Government and Transport Scotland, this year's ceremony will be held at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow on 14th June 2012 and will be hosted by Grant Stott, radio and television presenter.

“Given the importance of transport infrastructure to the health of Scotland’s economy, it is vital to have a body of professionals capable of achieving excellence in the field. The Scottish Transport Awards recognise the work of those who achieve the highest standards of innovation, professionalism and teamwork across a wide variety of different disciplines and fields of work in both the public and private sectors, and, we hope, will help to inspire others to follow their example.".

Keith Brown MSP, Scottish Minister for Transport

“I'm delighted that we have had the opportunity to celebrate so many great achievements over the last nine years at the Scottish Transport Awards.

It always gives me great satisfaction to see hardworking individuals from both the public and the private sector rewarded for their commitment and innovation. Even in these challenging times, the awards focus on celebrating the positive outcomes being achieved across the country".

Prof David Begg, Chair of the Judging Panel and Publisher of Transport Times
